David grew up in Ridgewood, NJ and served churches in Minnesota, Texas, and New Jersey before retiring from active ministry in July, 2020. He received a B.A. in Economics from Carleton College in Minnesota, a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Biblical Preaching from Luther Seminary in St. Paul.
